When we sat down to look across the business to the areas that needed to be changed, the biggest change was to drive transparency. Transparency is the cornerstone of our business – so much so that it’s now one of our values.
This isn’t just an internal value that management is transparent with employees. This extends out to our customers and prospective customers. It also happens to be a personal management trait that I believe you can root out most evil by merely disclosing and discussing things. Hiding things from employees or customers has no place in any business.
Transparency is so important to me. It’s why I’m writing this blog, and why our monthly emails come directly from me, not marketing.
Today we are extending this transparency to how we present the company to current and prospective customers. Previously we had no published pricing. We didn’t even have a transparent pricing page. Instead, we would show you plans and let you decide if you were interested. The problem was that the lack of transparency is not good for either the company or the prospective customer.
Many companies fear showing prices thinking that might scare away potential customers. You know what? That is okay. Our software isn’t going to be for everyone and the prospect should know that right up front and decide if the range is within their budget. The inverse can also be true, often a hidden price drives customers to believe it is too expensive, no more guessing on the price.
We approached this decision as if we were the customer and we were shopping. No one wants to walk into a car dealership with a budget of $25k, test drive a bunch of cars, pick the one they like, and then be told it is $100k. That is a complete waste of everyone’s time.
When I am shopping for software I know what I want to see. I want to see the plans, the features, and how much it’s going to cost. That is exactly what we are doing today, pulling down the drapes and revealing our pricing for everyone to see.

When you go to centage.com/pricing we are now showing what our software costs across all three plans. It’s that simple.
Stay tuned for more updates on our drive to be Customer First and to elate our current and future customers!
