Of note, this year Centage released Budget Maestro 7.0, the first, most comprehensive solution, for real time monthly reforecasting in the SMB market. The company also increased sales and its customer roster by 15%, adding customers across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, retail, and non-profit. Centage also increased the number of users by 20%.
Unlike traditional Excel spreadsheets, or previous generations of formula based budgeting and forecasting applications, Centage offers a sophisticated, but easy-to-use driver based approach to budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Released in July, Centage announced Budget Maestro 7.0, the next generation of its automated budgeting and planning software. With the announcement, Centage now offers customers enterprise functionality and synchronized P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, designed to meet the needs and budget of small and medium sized business. Highlights of the new functionality include:
- Quick Start Wizard – Allows users to rapidly create budgets using prior year actuals.
- Dynamic Real-Time Forecasting – Provides the ability to reforecast; revenues and expenses driven from actuals allow users to increase or decrease their budget based on how actuals are trending.
- Global Budget Adjustments – Allows users to make global changes to their budget – for example a Cost of Living salary increase for all employees – and easily modify or reverse them, as well.
The company also announced several new management appointments including Barry Clapp as President & COO, Michael Souza as Vice President of Sales, and Mary Bruce as Vice President of Product Engineering.
